While our operations are based in Sri Lanka, Serendia operates as a British-founded company, adhering to the highest international standards of professionalism, governance, and service delivery. Our approach combines strong on-ground presence with globally recognised best practices, ensuring properties are managed with structure, accountability, and precision.

Our Story
Serendia was founded by three partners with roots in both Sri Lanka and the United Kingdom, each bringing many years of experience across the hospitality and business sectors. Having lived and worked abroad, the founders personally experienced a challenge shared by many Sri Lankans living outside the country the absence of a reliable, professional property management service they could truly trust back home.
Like thousands of Sri Lankan diaspora, the founders owned properties in Sri Lanka that were meant to be long-term assets and family legacies. However, managing these properties from overseas quickly became difficult. Relying on multiple people friends, extended family, caretakers, or ad-hoc service providers often led to miscommunication, lack of accountability, inconsistent maintenance, and no clear oversight.
Without proper supervision, many properties gradually fell into disrepair. In some cases, the stress and ongoing challenges became so overwhelming that property owners felt forced to sell their homes altogether a reality that some of our founders experienced firsthand.
Recognising this widespread problem, the founders realised there was a critical gap in the market: no single company was offering structured, transparent, and professional property management tailored specifically for overseas Sri Lankans. Serendia was created out of this necessity.
The company was founded with a clear purpose to help fellow Sri Lankans protect their properties, retain ownership, and transform underutilised assets into well managed, income generating investments. By combining strong on-ground presence in Sri Lanka with international service standards, Serendia provides the reliability, oversight, and peace of mind that overseas property owners need.
Today, Serendia exists to ensure that owning property in Sri Lanka remains a source of pride and opportunity not stress while enabling owners to generate passive income without losing control of what matters most to them.
